Duskaro ("we", "us") is operated by Uzan Digital, Johannesburg, South Africa. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights, in line with South Africa's POPIA and Apple's App Store requirements.
What we collect
- Account data: your name and email from Sign in with Apple or Google, your chosen username, bio, city and profile photo.
- Content you create: events, posts, stories (auto-deleted after 24 hours), comments, messages and reservations.
- Location: your approximate device location, only while using the app, to show nearby events and the map. You can decline — the app still works with a national feed.
- Photos/camera/microphone: only when you actively attach media to a story, post, event cover or avatar.
- Push token: a device token so we can send you notifications you've opted into.
What we do NOT do
- We do not sell your data.
- We do not show third-party ads or share data with advertisers.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites.
How data is used
Solely to run the app: showing events near you, managing reservations, delivering messages and notifications, and keeping the community safe (reports, blocks, moderation).
Storage & security
Data is stored with Supabase (hosted on AWS) with row-level security: your private messages are readable only by conversation members, and blocked users cannot see your content. Media you post publicly (avatars, covers, story media) is served from public storage buckets.
Your rights
- Delete your account any time in-app: Profile → Settings → Delete account. This permanently erases your profile, events, posts, stories, messages and reservations.
- Edit your profile data any time in-app.
- Contact us for access/correction requests: uzandigitalofficial@gmail.com.
Children
Duskaro is for users 16 and older.
Changes
We'll update this page and the date above if this policy changes.
